MotionPlay

Privacy Policy

Effective 26 September 2026 · Contact: support@azharlabs.com

Plain-language summary: MotionPlay uses the device camera as a live controller. Camera frames and body landmarks are processed on the device for gameplay and are not uploaded to AzharLabs. Game progress stays locally on the device unless a parent intentionally exports it. Apple or Google and a limited verification service handle native purchase information.

1. Who operates MotionPlay

MotionPlay is an AzharLabs product. AzharLabs is currently an independent brand operated by Mohamed Azharudeen. In this policy, “AzharLabs,” “MotionPlay,” “we,” and “us” refer to that operator. Privacy questions can be sent to support@azharlabs.com.

2. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the MotionPlay mobile application for iPhone, iPad, and Android and to the MotionPlay pages on this website. MotionPlay is designed for children and families, with parent-facing controls for privacy and purchases.

3. Camera and movement processing

When a player enables motion controls, MotionPlay accesses the front camera to recognise supported movements. Camera frames and temporary body or face landmarks are processed on the device to create game-control signals.

  • MotionPlay does not need to upload camera frames, recordings, or body landmarks to AzharLabs for gameplay.
  • MotionPlay does not use camera information to identify a person.
  • Camera processing stops when the player stops the camera or leaves the relevant experience, subject to normal operating-system shutdown timing.
  • A player can use supported touch controls where the game provides them.

4. Information stored locally

MotionPlay may store the following in app-private storage on the device:

  • Optional local profile nicknames and avatars;
  • Control preferences, comfort settings, learned movement thresholds, and neutral-position setup;
  • Game progress, rewards, endings, recent activity summaries, and best scores;
  • Parent settings and local consent choices;
  • If a parent explicitly enables local pilot tools, bounded setup events and parent-entered observations.

Core play does not require a child’s real name, email address, birthday, contacts, precise location, or advertising identifier.

5. Optional exports

A parent may choose to export a family backup or a local pilot report. These files are created only after an intentional parent action and may contain local nicknames, game progress, preferences, activity summaries, or parent observations. They do not need to contain camera frames or body landmarks. Exported files are controlled by the parent and may not be encrypted, so they should be stored and shared carefully.

6. Purchases and subscriptions

Native purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play under their own privacy policies and account settings. To confirm entitlement, MotionPlay may send a verification service only the platform, product identifier, transaction identifier, and store-issued purchase token or signed transaction information. MotionPlay does not send camera frames, learned movements, local profiles, or activity history with purchase checks.

The verification service is designed not to retain request bodies or purchase tokens. Hosting and network providers may temporarily process IP addresses, request time, device/network metadata, and security or error information necessary to operate and protect the service. Apple and Google retain transaction records according to their own policies.

7. Support communications

If a parent contacts support, we receive the email address, message, and attachments they choose to send. Please do not send camera recordings, children’s full names, or other unnecessary personal information. We use support messages to answer requests, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

8. Advertising and analytics

The planned child-focused release does not include third-party advertising, behavioural advertising, or an automatic third-party analytics pipeline. Optional local pilot information remains on the device unless a parent intentionally exports and shares it. If this changes, the app, store disclosures, and this policy must be updated before the changed practice is used.

9. Sharing

We do not sell children’s personal information. Limited information may be processed by Apple, Google, hosting providers, security providers, or support infrastructure only as needed to provide purchases, hosting, security, and support. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect users and the service.

10. Retention and deletion

  • Local app data remains on the device until it is erased through available app controls, the app’s storage is cleared, or the app is uninstalled.
  • Files exported by a parent remain wherever the parent saved or shared them.
  • Support communications are retained only as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain security records, and meet legal obligations.
  • Purchase records are retained by Apple or Google under their policies. The current verification service is designed to be stateless.

See Privacy Choices for practical deletion and control options.

11. Children’s privacy

MotionPlay aims to collect as little personal information as possible and does not ask children to create an online account for core play. Parents or guardians should manage purchases, optional exports, support requests, and privacy settings. If you believe a child has sent personal information to support, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures such as app-private storage, encrypted HTTPS connections for purchase verification, limited request fields, and restricted production credentials. No system can guarantee absolute security.

13. International processing

Store, hosting, and support providers may process limited information in countries other than the user’s country. Their handling is governed by their terms, privacy policies, and applicable law.

14. Changes

We may update this policy when MotionPlay, its providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will be updated. Material changes affecting children or families will be communicated through an appropriate parent-facing channel.
