Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms govern use of Sakinah. By installing or using Sakinah, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What Sakinah provides

Sakinah offers mindful app pauses: a chosen mindful app pauses appears before an app you chose to pause opens.

3. Not medical or religious instruction

Sakinah provides scripture text and gentle pauses. It is not religious instruction, counselling, medical care, or a substitute for study, guidance, or professional advice.

4. Offline nature

Sakinah works fully offline. It does not require an account and is not a cloud service. You are responsible for your device and app storage.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse Sakinah, attempt to disrupt services, infringe another person's rights, or use it for unlawful purposes.

6. Intellectual property

Sakinah, its software, artwork, name, and original content are owned by or licensed to AzharLabs and protected by applicable laws. Sacred texts are presented with attribution as permitted by their licences.

7. Availability and changes

We may update, add, remove, or suspend features. We cannot guarantee permanent availability of every feature.

8. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Sakinah is provided "as is" and "as available".

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, AzharLabs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of Sakinah. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The effective date will be updated.
