1. Who operates Sakinah

Sakinah is an AzharLabs product. AzharLabs is currently an independent brand operated by Mohamed Azharudeen. Privacy questions can be sent to support@azharlabs.com.

2. Scope

This policy applies to the Sakinah mobile application for iPhone, iPad, and Android and to the Sakinah pages on this website.

3. Offline by design

Sakinah makes no network requests at runtime. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. The Qur'an text, verses, supplications, and prayer-time mathematics are bundled into the binary. Airplane mode is a fully supported configuration, and you can verify the app works and stays private with no connection.

4. Involvement at a glance

To pause an app, Sakinah needs permission to notice when a chosen app comes to the foreground. It reads only the name of the app in front. It never reads your screen, your messages, or what you type, and none of that information leaves this phone.

5. Prayer times and Qibla

If you enable prayer-time or Qibla features, Sakinah may ask for location permission to calculate times and direction on your device. Location is processed on-device and is not sent anywhere.

6. Support communications

If you contact support, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, or personal scripture notes. We use support messages to respond, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

7. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Because the app works entirely offline, there is nothing about your usage to share. Support communications are handled as described above and may be disclosed when legally required.

8. Retention and deletion

• App data (such as your list of paused apps and preferences) remains on your device until you delete it in Sakinah, clear app storage, or uninstall.
• Support messages are retained only as reasonably necessary to resolve the request and meet legal obligations.

9. Security

We use reasonable measures such as app-private storage and restricted production credentials. Because the app is offline, the main risk surface is your own device.

10. Changes

We may update this policy when Sakinah, its providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will be updated.
